A 42-year-old man was allegedly stabbed multiple times by a youth on Sunday.
Halifax RCMP says the man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
RCMP responded to a weapons complaint on Prospect Bay Road at about 9:10 a.m. and learned the man was stabbed on the way to the scene, according to a news release.
When officers arrived, they found the man outside of a residence. Police say he was stabbed multiple times after a “verbal argument” with a male youth he knew.
The youth voluntarily came out of the residence and police arrested him, the release says.
The youth faces charges of:
- attempted murder
- aggravated assault
- possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- assault with a weapon
- uttering threats
Police held the youth in custody. He will appear in court today.
