Five people were hit, one with possible life-threatening injuries, after a shooting at an event in Africville Park in Halifax.

Police say it was around 10 p.m., Saturday, when two men exchanged gunfire which caused shots to go into the crowd around them.

All victims were taken to hospital.

Police are asking for any information or video from the area to help with the investigation which is in its early stages.
