There’s a helping hand for a program supporting entrepreneurs in the Thunder Bay area.

The Starter Company Plus program is run through the Community Economic Development Commission, and the CEDC’s board of directors is investing an extra $50,000 in the program.

CEDC officials say that will let ten more entrepreneurs go through the program with each receiving a $5,000 grant.

It’s meant to help create or expand sustainable businesses.

Starter Company Plus involves workshops around market research, labour and employment law, insurance, wealth management, and social media marketing.
