A 72 year-old man from Thunder Bay is facing drug charges following an OPP and Nishnawbe Aski Police Service drug trafficking investigation.

Police seized nearly $125,000 of oxycodone pills, cash and drug paraphernalia following the search of a home on the 100-block of Crown Street on Oct. 22.

Police say the one male suspect was alone at the time, and was taken into custody without incident.

The 72 year-old man is being charged with possession of oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.

He has since been released from custody under conditions, and has a future court date. His name is currently being withheld until charges have been formally sworn in before the courts.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
