Two people were rescued in an apartment fire in Spryfield.
In a post on social media, Halifax Professional Fire Fighters say it happened Friday around 9:30 p.m. on Enid Avenue.
The union says when they were on the way they heard reports that people were trapped inside.
When crews arrived, the top floor of the 3-story building, was in flames.
“Our members began a coordinated attack — one member deployed a hose line to the rear of the building to knock down the fire while the other members raised a ladder to the upper floor to begin a vent-enter-search (VES),” says the union.
VES is used help firefighter’s pinpoint areas where victims are more likely to be found.
The victims were found and rescued, according to the union.
Details are on unclear at this time on injuries or how bad the damage may be to the building.
