Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for parts of Nova Scotia – including Lunenburg County, Queens County, and the Annapolis Valley – as temperatures climb this week.

Highs near 30°C are expected this afternoon, with the heat set to persist into Wednesday.

With humidity, it could feel closer to 35°C, and Environment Canada is urging anyone spending time outdoors to watch for signs of heat exhaustion. Signs may include headache, nausea, dizziness, thirst, dark urine, and intense fatigue.

Conditions may be slightly cooler along coastal areas.
