A man from Torbrook is facing first-degree murder charges in the disappearance of Steven Boudreau, who was last seen about a month ago.
It was April 19 when they got the call that 61-year-old Boudreau was missing from Hopewell, south of New Glasgow, according to an RCMP news release.
Police labeled the case as suspicious on April 24. That day, they found a white Honda Accord in Kings County that they believe belonged to Boudreau. That is also when major crimes took over the case.
Through the investigation, they found enough evidence to lead them to Boudreau’s remains.
On Wednesday, they arrested 29-year-old Cory Reid Palmer at a home on East Torbrook Road in Torbrook.
Palmer remains in custody and will appear in Kentville Provincial Court June 16.
The investigation is ongoing, with help from forensics experts and the Medical Examiner’s Office.
