Officials with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) confirm the 85th passing since the beginning of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020.

There are also 127 active cases heading into the weekend.

As of the last update, the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre is treating eight of their 21 patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
