Someone was in a hurry to get to their destination this morning (Saturday), unfortunately it may cost them.

Provincial Police in Thunder Bay were patrolling Highway 11/17 just after midnight and spotted a vehicle doing 170 kilometres an hour in the Oliver and John Street area.

Three people were in the vehicle that was stopped and officers determined the 35 year-old driver had been drinking and he failed a roadside sobriety test.

The accused faces three charges including impaired and stunt driving.

His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and vehicle was impounded for 30 day as a result of the stunt driving charge.
