It was an emotional night when The Judds were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sunday, one day after the death of member Naomi at age 76. The Judd family requested that the medallion ceremony proceed as planned.

“We are shocked and saddened by the death of Naomi Judd, who enters the Country Music Hall of Fame tomorrow as a member of the @juddsofficial. Her family has asked that we continue with the Judds’ Hall of Fame induction Sunday. We will do so, with heavy hearts.”

Naomi’s daughters, Wynonna and actress Ashley Judd, were on hand to accept the honor. It was a tearful tribute for both. Ricky Skaggs was there to induct them. Wynonna congratulated their fellow inductees, singer Ray Charles, drummer Eddie Bayers and pedal steel guitar player Pete Drake.
