A water rescue at McVicar Creek on Algoma Street North.

The call came in just after 12:45 p.m. Thursday following reports of someone possibly trapped in the waterway.

Emergency crews rescued a woman and a child, who have both been transferred to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) for further treatment.

Their condition is unknown at this time.
