Thunder Bay’s Ben Thompson lifted 1270 pounds to set a new open class world record, and held off 46 other athletes to win the crown.

The event lasted the entire month of April, and submissions were virtual with strict rules so international athletes did not have to travel due to the ongoing concerns of COVID-19.
