Visits have resumed at St. Joseph’s Hospital following an issue with the building’s sprinkler system.

St. Joseph’s Care Group (SJCG) says the issue occurred on Saturday, and visits to the hospital were temporarily paused.

SJCG worked with Thunder Bay Fire Rescue to address the issue.

No injuries were reported, and officials say there was no immediate danger.

The care group thanked Thunder Bay Fire Rescue for its quick response and collaboration, as well as hospital staff for continuing to provide care and support to clients throughout the response.

SJCG also thanked clients, families and visitors for their patience while visits were temporarily suspended.

“We recognize the importance of staying connected with family and loved ones and appreciate everyone’s understanding,” SJCG said.
