More campaign promises, this time from the provincial NDP’s.

In what would’ve be been a campaign stop in Thunder Bay, leader Andrea Horwath made the announcement today that if elected as Premier she would open 40 detox beds in the city.

In a statement, the NDP will team up with St. Joseph’s Care Group to fund the 40-bed integrated crisis centre in Thunder Bay.

There was no cost associated woth the announcement for the project.

Horwath said that she would immediately approve funding for the beds and project.

Other heathcare promises included in this announcement is adding counseling and therapy to OHIP coverage, 40 mental Healthcare practitioners

NDP leader Andrea Horwath was supposed to be in Thunder Bay today as a stop on her campaign trail, but wasn’t able to make it because the chartered plane went mechanical before take off.
