Use caution when around waterways.
That’s the message from Thunder Bay Fire Rescue after someone had to be rescue from the water at Kam River Park early Sunday morning.
The individual was placed in the care of Superior North EMS and then transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC).
The extent of any injuries is unknown.
Previously the Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry extended their Flood Watch for the Thunder Bay District, noting residents near Upper Kaministiquia River, Seine River and Lac des Mille Lacs watersheds should exercise extreme caution around less travelled roads, bridges, water-crossings, lakes, and rivers.
