The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) is bringing back in-person courses for folks looking to get certified to work in the food industry.
The TBDHU says that the move comes “in response to community requests: we understand that not everyone wants to learn online.”
When working with food, whether at restaurants, food packaging facilities, or even soup kitchens, the law requires at least one person on-site to possess a Food Handler Certificate.
The next course is scheduled for November 4, with another date set for December 8.
The TBDHU will continue to offer the course online.
