Every week I try and get out and do some golfing at our great city courses.  My game isn’t very good but I sure do love meeting the amazing folks of Thunder Bay.  On Friday I got out to Strathcona and golfed with two old friends Kenny and Darlene.   If you talk to any member about these two they will have nothing but good things to say.  You probably even had Kenny as a teacher if you went to either Lakeview, St. Ignatius or Hammarskjold High Schools.  Mr. Blazina taught math and other subjects for many years and uses his geometry skills on the course.  The crazy thing is Kenny just started playing golf after retirement and plays like a seasoned pro. His friend Darlene is also a great golfer and can just crush a drive.  When she is not on the links she loves to play piano and plays every Sunday at her church.  So the next time you are at Strathcona say “Hi” to Kenny and Darlene!!
