One person is being treated for injuries after a collision on Oliver Road and Balmoral Street.

Eastbound travel is off limits after emergency crews were dispatched to the scene just before 2:00 p.m. Monday.

Police learned that the walker was crossing the roadway in the area when they were struck by a pickup truck.

The truck came in to contact with another vehicle after the initial collision with the pedestrian.

The motorist of the vehicle struck by the pickup truck sustained minor injuries.

The extent of injuries of the individual being treated at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre (TBRHSC) is unknown at this time.

Police continue to hold a scene and the investigation remains ongoing.
