Sometimes you’ll do just about anything to protect your pets. 17-year-old Hailey sprung into action after a bear appeared with two cubs on her backyard wall and her dogs appeared to fight it off. The California teen thought at first they were barking at another dog or squirrel, but when she realized what it was she ran toward the bear and knocked it off the wall, especially after the bear had grabbed her mother’s service dog.
A 17-year-old wasted no time fending off a huge bear, pushing it off a wall, before it could get to dogs—including her mother’s service dog—in her backyard. https://t.co/5rjCTRJ8uH pic.twitter.com/6dJ14fLy2y

Hailey got away with a scraped knee and a sprained finger. She was taken by surprise since it was a Monday and the bears usually show up on Tuesday. Experts agree it’s not the best thing to do but kudos to Hailey for helping out her pets.
