Saturday was a beautiful day for some plowing. It was Rural Heritage Days and the 90th Annual Slate River Plowing Match. I was invited again to participate in the celebrity plowing match. In 2018 I won the thing and got a real fancy trophy that has been sitting in my office ever since. This year I pretty confident I would be able to win again…
I did not. I was second last place.
Larry Eyres was the champion… hmmmm interesting that the Oliver Paipoonge By-Law Officer won, not that I have a problem with that Larry. Take care of my Trophy, I’ll be back next year.
Mayor Lucy Kloosterhuis was second,
Geoff Martin from BMO was third,
then officer Roxanne LaGarde
Then me… I got pickles
It was still a blast and I got to meet some fantastic people
