Just in time for fall children in the Boulevard Lake area are now able to jump, swing, climb and slide on a new playground.

The project began at the end of May, as part of a joint venture between the City of Thunder Bay and the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charity, when the former playground equipment was removed to make way for a modern play space that is bigger, safer, and more accessible.

Amenities include:

spacious; more running around room for kids if all ages
rubber base; more environmentally friendly and less likely to have to dump shoes out before going home
better accessibility; the park has many features for those with mobility/accessibility restrictions
fitness area; geared toward adults, but open for anyone to use it. Signage is posted on how to do certain exercises on the permanent equipment.
low to the ground activities; lots of walk/roll up activity spaces for park-goers to spin wheels, drum, and music making.
