Get ready for a solar eclipse that will be visible in parts of Canada on Thursday, June 10th. It is an annular solar eclipse, where the moon will be in front of the sun to create the phenomenon known as the “ring of fire”.  There will be a partial solar eclipse to view in Thunder Bay starting early Thursday at 5:55 a.m. More info here.

Remember you cannot look at the eclipse because you can damage your eyes. You have to wear specially designed eclipse glasses that meet the international standard. You can make a homemade pinhole camera with a white piece of paper and look at a projection of the eclipse indirectly. More info from the Canadian Space Agency.
