A man was taken to the hospital after getting stranded while swimming in Ware Township.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue went to help Provincial Police rescue the man last night around ten o’clock at Crooked Rapids.
They say he’d been swimming in the area and hurt his leg, and was stuck on the other side of the river dressed only in shorts while the thunderstorm passed through the area.
Crews were able to cross the river and bring the man to safety. Paramedics took him to the hospital for his leg injury.
