The Thunder Bay District’s case count is creeping upward with another 16 new cases confirmed.
Out of those, eight are in First Nation communities, two are in other communities in the district, and six are in Thunder Bay or the surrounding areas.
We now have 81 active cases, as the new infections outnumbered the ten people who are considered resolved.
One person with the virus has been released from the hospital.
The Health Unit is also confirming another 18 of our active cases have more contagious variants of concern.
Ontario reported 744 new cases, a slight drop from Friday’s update.
