Within 12 a hour period from Thursday evening into Friday morning Thunder Bay police made four impaired driving arrests, which the service says represents a busy night for them.
One of those charges stems from a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Memorial and Central Avenues shortly before 11:30 p.m.
Upon arrival officers found two heavily damage vehicles, a small SUV and a larger SUV.
One of the drivers, a 41 year old woman, was observed to have multiple signs of impairment by alcohol and was taken into custody.
While at TBPS headquarters, she was requested to provide a sample of her breath and refused to comply.
She has been charged with:
• Operation of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
• Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
• Failure or Refusal to Comply with Breath Demand
The accused has been released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
