A new police chief has been named for Thunder Bay Police Services Board.

Darcy Fleury, was Chief Superintendent, Commander, Central Alberta District at Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) according to the Police Board.

Originally from Manitoba, Fleury is a proud Member of Manitoba Metis Federation, where his father was a founding member. It was outlined by the special commission that a BIPOC individual be named as the next chief for Thunder Bay.
