Thunder Bay police have left the scene in the south end where a body was found in the Kam River.

They were called Saturday morning, after someone walking through the area called 911 upon making the discovery, near Simpson Street.

Police add an autopsy on the body is done, the results confirming it is that of 33-year old Thomas Kwasny of Thunder Bay, who was reported missing on May 15th.

The man’s family has been told by police of this tragedy.

They add the investigation is still on, and ask anyone with information to call them.
