Reports of a bear have brought police and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry to the Marina.

Police confirm they were called to the end of Pearl Street at the Marina, around 2:20 this afternoon. They say a bear had been spotted up a tree in the area, and officers are now guarding the scene near Sleeping Giant Parkway and Saul Laskin Drive.

Police and Thunder Bay Fire Rescue are also on scene on Water Street near the Camelot Street rail crossing.
