An assault at the Atlantic Institution is under investigation by R-C-M-P and Correctional Service Canada.

Officials say an inmate was taken to the hospital on August 8th and treated for injuries.

He has since been returned to the maximum security prison.

C-S-C has identified those responsible and says actions have been taken.
