There is a heavy police presence at a Saint John school following a bomb threat.
Several police cars are visible outside Centre scolaire Samuel-de-Champlain in Millidgeville.
Members of the Saint John Fire Department were also on the scene at the building.
The police force confirmed the threat in a social media post just before noon Wednesday.
“Police are on scene searching the property,” Staff Sgt. Sean Rocca said in an email to our newsroom.
“The public is asked to avoid the area. Parents should follow communication from the school.”
Our newsroom has reached out to the Francophone South School District for comment.
More to come.
