A new library could be coming to the Bedford waterfront.
Halifax council has given the thumbs up for a plan and budget for a 21,000 square foot library in a new planned ferry terminal in Mill Cove.
The building would be two stories and allow access from transit routes, vehicles or mobility trail and would also have an open seated area and performance space.
The budget would require an increase in taxes of about $24 for the 2024/25 year.
The plan still needs federal approval before moving forward.
