What should I write for my ‘first blog’?  How about sharing my experience of my first 2 1/2 weeks hosting “Mornings In The Bay” on 99.9 THE BAY.

It’s absolutely amazing to be part of this team.  I have so many people to thank:  the Acadia Broadcasting staff here at Park & Water, my family and of course….YOU…the listener.

You’ve welcomed me into your home, your car, your workplace, your backyard with open arms.  This truly means a lot.  I have big shoes to fill.  John Ongaro is an amazing host, and that’s why we’re going to continue to have him join Morning’s In The Bay.  Tuesday’s we’ll talk “city council”;  and Friday’s a great new feature we call “What’s For Sale”?  (you’ll never look at an online classified ad the same again)  LOL.

JUST A SEC contest continues weekdays after the 7:30 news.  We have Lotto tickets every weekday morning. The Tbay Talk and Text Line is always open:  344-8229. (344-TBAY).  Feel free to send me a text, or call me.  I’ll gladly chat with you.

Plus, I’ve added a new feature called “TODAY IN THE BAY” (6:20am, 7:20am, 8:50am).  This is where I find the most interesting stories of the past 24 hours, and hopefully it might be something you can share with someone and generate a conversation.

I have enjoyed this industry for almost 30 years and I’ll do this until the day I retire.

My goal is to keep you entertained, informed, and put a smile on your face.  But also, have the serious conversations when we need to.  A friend of mine in the radio industry once said to me, “Danny, sometimes we have to use our mics for some serious conversation”.  That is the truth.

So…I’ll continue to set my alarm for 3:51am, get into my vehicle and make my way to 180 Park Avenue to bring you “Mornings In The Bay with Danny Foresta”.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS, WARMTH and most of all…..THANK YOU FOR LISTENING TO 99.9 THE BAY.  Cheers to a great day!
