Saskatoon photographer Mike Digout was hoping for a good photo when he placed a Canadian flag on two branches on a popular beaver passage. For a few seconds things worked out fine when one of the beavers, named Spud, seemed to be standing at attention right under the flag. It looked like Spud had other ideas though and did what beavers do, when she yanked one of the branches out of the ground and one Canadian symbol took off with another. Mike caught the whole thing on film and was able to get the flag before Spud took off with her flagpole lunch in the pond. Oh Canada indeed!
