Ontario initially stated that 70 per cent of adults would need at least one dose of the vaccine and 20 per cent would have to be fully vaccinated for at least two weeks to enter step two.

As of Tuesday, June 23, over 76 per cent of adults in Ontario 18 and older have received their first dose, and over 29 per cent are fully vaccinated.

The phased approach was launched in late May, with each step lasting a minimum of 21 days.
