The Town of Yarmouth’s veterans banner program is in its third year.
The banners have been installed on poles throughout the town, featuring a photo and information about a veteran.
Yarmouth Mayor Pam Mood says there are 80 altogether on Main and Parade streets.
“We actually had to do a lotto, just because so many wanted to have a banner up, and rightfully so. We want to celebrate our veterans and this is an amazing way to do that,” said Mayor Mood.
The banners go up each year for 3 years, and then others will have an opportunity to have one up in memory of a loved one.
Mood says more information will go out in January for next year’s program.
