For the second weekend in a row, the MacKay bridge will be closed.

The Halifax Bridge commission says it’s due to emergency maintenance.

Workers are replacing the second of two multi-tonne deck panels.

Expect busier volume on Macdonald bridge.

However, there is a silver lining as all Halifax Transit services are free Friday and Saturday night after 6pm

Transit has teamed up with the NSLC to help you get around now that we are knee deep in the Holiday season.

We’re partnering with @hfxtransit to help you get home safely.

All Halifax Transit bus, Access-A-Bus and ferry rides will be free on Friday, Dec. 1 and Saturday, Dec. 2 from 6 p.m. to end of service, courtesy of the NSLC.
