A pair of men fortunate to be alive after nearly drowning in Soldier’s Hole near Trowbridge Park.

The call came in at 6:00 p.m. Thursday as crews located the unresponsive man through the dense bush to the cliff line and pulled him to safety.

Witnesses report there was an attempted rescue but both men could not swim well.

The individuals were treated on scene and taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for further evaluation.
