Roadwork season could include some work on Island Drive near the Intercity area.

City Council is voting tonight on whether to give the $666,757 contract to Bruno’s Contracting.

The cost rises to $745,435 with engineering and other city labour and material.

The work involves re-paving Island Drive from the Neebing-McIntyre Floodway to Main Street, and building a new section of the Waterfront Trail.

If Council approves the work and all goes as planned, the project should be done at the end of October.
