Two people are dead in a house fire in New Glasgow.

It happened Saturday afternoon and the provinces fire marshal and police major crimes is looking into the fire.

New Glasgow Regional Police are gathering information and evidence as to the cause of the fire.

No further information will be released on the fatalities until family members have been notified.
