If you’re travelling within Nova Scotia, keep in mind some areas of the province could get freezing rain this week.

Environment Canada has issued special weather statements for parts of the northern mainland for Thursday night and Friday.

The forecaster says Antigonish, Colchester, Cumberland, Inverness, Pictou and Victoria counties could see 4 hours or more of freezing rain.

The risk will be greater over higher terrain.
