You probably had one of his many inventions. Ron Popeil, the iconic American TV pitchman has died at age 86. He hawked his many products for his company Ronco, some that he created, and came up with the language of the big sell, common on many late night ads and infomercials. He sold everything from pasta makers to food dehydrators. Maybe you had some of his products like the Veg-O-Matic? Do you remember the Popeil Pocket Fisherman?

Or how about Mr. Microphone?

Popeil was often parodied in pop culture by Weird Al Yankovic and Dan Aykroyd on Saturday Night Live with the famous Bass-O-Matic sketch.
