There’s uncertainty for some served eviction notices at various tents sites in Halifax.

Monday is the deadline the city has given those staying at sites such as Grand Parade and Victoria Park to move.

Steve Wilsack is a volunteer and has been helping the homeless through the winter, and he’s entirely not sure what to expect.

Other options such as shelters and hotels have been extended, but not everyone is taking the offers.

The city issued the eviction notices on February 7 because they felt enough safer alternatives were available.

Five of 11 designated sites in Halifax are due to close including Saunders Park in Dartmouth, Victoria Park and Grand Parade in Halifax, and at the ballfield in Lower Sackville.

In a statement on Friday, municipal officials said about 25 of the 55 people had relocated.
