A tragic update in the case of a missing woman and child in the Sheet Harbour area.

RCMP say the 36-year old woman from Ruth Falls was found dead, and the death is not believed to be suspicious at this time.

The search continues for 3-year old Lucas Cooper continues.

Police say they have the underwater recovery team, the Canadian Coast Guard and Ground Search and Rescue in areas like Sheet Harbour, Musquodoboit Valley and Halifax searching.

Cooper is 3-feet tall with black curly hair and brown eyes.
