First responders are on scene of a multi-vehicle collision North of Dryden.

It occurred just before noon on Highway 17 near Two Mile Corner.

In a post to social media the Oxdrift Fire Team says five tractor trailer units and one passenger vehicle were involved.

Officials say two people were hurt but their injuries are not considered serious.

Fire crews from both Oxdrift and the Dryden Fire Service have now cleared the scene, and turned it over to Ontario Provincial Police and the MTO.

Tow trucks are expected to arrive on scene shortly.

Officials are asking motorists to avoid the area and to give space for emergency crews to work.

Meanwhile, the highway between Dryden and Vermilion Bay has been closed due to weather conditions.
