Thousands of people remain without electricity after high winds tore through southern New Brunswick on Wednesday.
More than 8,500 homes and businesses were without power as of 10 a.m. Thursday, according to NB Power.
The majority of the outages are in southern areas of the province, which were forecast to see the highest winds.
- Kings/Queens: 3,570 customers
- Kennebecasis Valley/Fundy: 2,989 customers
- Carleton: 1,131 customers
- Central York/Sunbury: 445 customers
- Moncton/Riverview/Dieppe: 207 customers
- Charlotte Southwest: 132 customers
- Victoria/Madawaska: 75 customers
- Northumberland/Miramichi: 44 customers
- Acadian Peninsula: 5 customers
- Sackville/Port Elgin: 1 customer
The Saint John Airport had a peak wind gust of 102 kilometres per hour, while Sussex had a gust of 98 kilometres per hour.
