Water levels continue to rise in Quinan, Yarmouth County.

Provincial public works staff are monitoring the Frotten Road Bridge, and say future closures could be put in place.

Shane Strong with Yarmouth’s regional emergency management office says people should move their vehicles to the safe side of the bridge.

“We’re three inches from the bridge right now with the water levels. Once it caresses the bridge, public works will put in a walking bridge,” said Strong.

Yarmouth County Ground Search and Rescue are in the area today to inform residents of their options.

Strong says they are taking preventative measures in case of emergency.
