As we approach the 2022 municipal election, Thunder Bay is preparing some changes to how you can vote.

A report from City Clerk Krista Power says you won’t be able to vote by telephone next year, but they will keep offering online voting in addition to in-person ballots.

She says they are also considering drive-through polling stations, and the possibility of mail-in voting.

The report says administration is prepared to respond to any major changes in public health rules next year.

The city is also factoring extra costs for cleaning and personal protective equipment into the 2022 budget.
