A man is facing charges after assaulting another man on a Halifax Transit bus Sunday morning.

Police say it was around 10:20 a.m. when a man approached another man, not known to him, on a bus on Robie Street and stabbed him with a small, pointed object.

The suspect ran away, and the victim was treated at the scene.

The 37-year-old was arrested in the area shortly after and will appear in court this afternoon.
