A man from Church Point is facing mischief and arson charges after a local business was broken into and a fire was set.

RCMP say it was early Tuesday morning when they learned an employee had arrived to broken window and a table on fire, with a lit torch underneath.

The employee put it all out.

There was also damage to the business, as well as two other buildings on the property and a vehicle in the parking lot.

The 27-year-old was arrested at a home in Gross Coques that afternoon.

There were no injuries.

He was in court, Thursday.
