A Thunder Bay man has been arrested and is accused of fleeing from police in a stolen pick-up on multiple occasions.
It began Saturday after police were told a man had borrowed a pick-up truck but failed to return it, leading to the owner reporting it stolen.
The suspect was later accused in numerous occurrences of theft on Saturday, Aug. 14 at residential addresses in Red Rock, Ont., and Thunder Bay. Some of the items reported stolen included a trailer, boat and motor, and two kayaks.
On Monday police saw the pick-up truck on Pole Line Road, and they set up a spike strip.
The truck went through the police roadblock and fled the area. For public safety, police called off the chase.
Another traffic stop was attempted but the pursuit was again called off.
